U.S. Army Pfc. Brandon Keith Bobb, a native of Port Arthur, was killed July 17 while serving in Iraq.

The 20-year-old Bobb and another soldier died when an improvised explosive device exploded under the Humvee in which they road.

Bobb attended Memorial High School for three years until Hurricane Rita displaced his family to Florida.

Hundreds of residents turned out with flags and signs of support when his flag-draped casket returned to Port Arthur.
