There may be a new cycle for hair products: wash, rinse and slip.

Christine Lemonis claims she slipped and fell in a puddle of spilled shampoo while shopping at an H-E-B Grocery store.

Lemonis filed suit against the company on May 27 in the Jefferson County District Court.

According to her suit, Lemonis was shopping at a Port Arthur H-E-B when she slipped in either shampoo or conditioner. Either way, Lemonis says the grocery store had a duty to warn her about the danger.

"Defendant retained the responsibility for the safety of persons attending the premises," the suit says. "Plaintiff alleges Defendant and its employees ... were guilty of negligence which was a proximate cause of her injuries."

Lemonis further alleges H-E-B negligently failed to inspect and maintain its premises.

She is suing for past and future mental anguish, medical expenses, impairment and loss of enjoyment of life.

Lemonis is demanding a trial by jury and is represented by attorney Travis McCall of the McCall & Devenzio law firm.

The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, 58th Judicial District.

Case No. A181-810
