Entergy found not negligent in personal injury trial

Entergy was recently found not negligent in the automobile collision trial of Shayna Taylor vs. Entergy et al, which took place in Jefferson County Judge Gary Sanderson's 60th Judicial Court.
The verdict was reached on May 30.
Shayna Taylor sued Entergy back in March 2007, after one of its employees, Isaiah Harmon, allegedly caused an automobile collision when he negligently failed to safely control Entergy's truck.
"As a result of defendants' negligence, Taylor has sustained significant injuries," the plaintiff's suit says. "Harmon was operating the truck in the course and scope of his employment with Entergy."
During the trial, Taylor and her attorneys attempted to convince jurors that Entergy negligently hired Harmon and failed to properly train and supervise him.
Jurors found that neither Taylor nor Entergy negligently caused the automobile collision.
Taylor was asking jurors to award her damages for past and future mental anguish, lost earnings, impairment and medical expenses.
She was represented by the Arnold & Itkin law firm.
