A Texas corporation has filed suit against three companies, alleging it was not paid more than $35,000 for electrical materials it supplied them.
Colorado Electric Supply, doing business as City Electric Supply, claims it sold and delivered to defendant Warrior Electric electrical materials, labor, supplies and merchandise on credit.
The materials were delivered from Feb. 26 through March 20, according to the complaint filed Sept. 4 in Jefferson County District Court.
The materials were used to improve property located at 2375 Interstate 10 South in Beaumont owned by co-defendant Value Place, the suit states.
As part of the agreement in providing the materials, Colorado Electric Supply entered into a joint check agreement with Warrior and co-defendant MDH Builders Inc., who was the general contractor at the site, the complaint says.
Even though it delivered the materials, Colorado Electric Supply says it still has not been paid the $36,218.67 it is owed for them.
As a result of the companies' refusal to pay, Colorado Electric Supply filed an affidavit claiming a lien against the Interstate 10 South property, according to the complaint.
Colorado Electric Supply is now seeking a foreclosure of its lien or, alternatively, reimbursement of the money it says it is owed, plus attorneys' fees and other relief to which it is entitled.
