PA Stop N' Drive sued or slip & fall
5/11/2011 10:59 AM By David Yates

A slip-and-fall lawsuit alleging water was leaking from a cooler has been filed against Sabir Inc.

Port Arthur resident Tomika Stevenson filed the suit against Sabir, doing business as Stop N' Drive No. 7, on May 5 in Jefferson County District Court.

Court records show that on April 27, 2010, Stevenson was shopping at the Port Arthur convenient store "when she slipped and fell in water that was on the floor that was leaking from the cooler."

The suit alleges the defendant should have inspected and maintained its premises and warned patrons of the hazard.

The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Tom Oxford of Waldman Smallwood represents her.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, has been assigned to the case.

Case No. E189-948
