Woman alleging denial of commission from $150M contract non-suits Signature

One month after filing suit, Sheila Lindsey has non-suited Signature Industrial Services from her petition, which claimed the company denied her from collecting the 1 percent compensation she was owed after securing a $150 million contract.

As previously reported, the complaint filed June 14 in Jefferson County District Court.

A court official told the Southeast Texas Record that Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court, granted Lindsey's motion to non-suit Signature on July 17 – effectively ending the litigation within a month's time.

In her suit, Lindsey claimed she was working for Signature when she began negotiating with ExxonMobil Global Services Co. concerning a contract for certain maintenance services Signature could provide to ExxonMobil.

ExxonMobil agreed to the contract, worth $150 million. However, before the contract was finalized, Lindsey alleges she was removed from the project in an effort to keep her from receiving the 1 percent commission to which she claims she was entitled, according to the suit.

Lindsey was seeking a judgment for unspecified damages, plus attorney's fees, costs, pre- and post-judgment interest at the maximum rate allowed by law and other relief the court deems just.

Tommy L. Yeates of Moore Landrey in Beaumont represents her.
