A Beaumont attorney is accused of committing attorney malpractice in a recent lawsuit filed in Jefferson County.
Kimberley Gaspard filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Debra B. Wester on July 21 in Jefferson County District Court.
Wester represented the plaintiff during the plaintiff's divorce.
Gaspard accuses Wester of committing attorney malpractice and for negligence during the scope of her legal representation.
The plaintiff is suing to recover actual and consequential damages, as well as attorney's fees, costs and expenses.
Gaspard is represented by John S. Morgan of Harris, Duesler & Hatfield in Beaumont.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
