ENGIE Resources sues Geosyn Mining for unpaid electricity bills

In a lawsuit filed on March 12, 2024, ENGIE Resources, LLC (Plaintiff) is suing Geosyn Mining, LLC (Defendant) in the County Civil Court at Law No. 4 of Harris County, Texas. The case with ID number 1229951 pertains to an alleged breach of contract and seeks monetary relief between $250,000 and $1,000,000.

The plaintiff, a Delaware limited liability company with its principal place of business in Harris County, Texas alleges that the defendant, a Texas for-profit corporation based in Springtown, Texas failed to pay their electricity bills. According to the court filing, ENGIE Resources provided electricity to Geosyn Mining's facilities under an agreement effective from April 6, 2022.

The contract term was set from April 1, 2022 through March 31, 2023 and it stipulated that payments were due within twenty days after the date of invoice. However, Geosyn Mining fell increasingly behind on its payments and has an outstanding balance of $354,179.26.

ENGIE Resources is seeking judgment against Geosyn Mining for the unpaid balance as well as any additional damages determined by the court. The plaintiff alleges that they have suffered damages not less than $354,179.26 due to the defendant's breach of contract.
