In a lawsuit filed in the County Civil Court at Law No. 4, Harris County, Texas (Cause No. 1223784), on March 11, 2024, plaintiff Ahmad Zia has sued Kabul Group Inc., alleging breach of contract and personal injuries. The case centers around two contracts for plumbing and equipment installation and framing at the Kabul Halal Supermarket.

The plaintiff, represented by Dagnee "Dee" McKinney-Manning of DAGNEE MCKINNEY, PLLC, claims that the defendant owes him over $32,000 for breach of contract. On January 5, 2024, Zia alleges he sustained personal injuries during an altercation with Abdul Rahman, registered agent for Kabul Group Inc., resulting in damages not exceeding $75,000.

Zia is also accusing Kabul Group Inc. of refusing to return his tools and equipment worth over $42,000 despite repeated pleas. The plaintiff seeks judgment for all costs of court; pre- and post-judgment interest at the legal rate on the personal injuries; unpaid debt at the highest legal or contractual rate allowed by law; and all further relief to which he may be entitled.
