HOUSTON - A ripple in a floor mat has resulted in a trip and fall lawsuit against Kin, Inc.

Alleging premises liability, Felicia Gaines filed her suit on April 5 in Harris County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on May 3, 2022, Gaines entered a Kohl's store to make a return when a store manager greeted her. Being polite, Gaines made eye contact and then tripped over an “elevated bulge or ripple in a black floor mat.”

The suit accuses the defendant of failing to warn of the dangerous condition.

Gaines is suing for her medical expenses, pain, mental anguish and impairment.

She is represented by Joel A. Gordon & Associates.
