HOUSTON - A lawsuit seeking up to $1 million in damages has been brought against Molson Coors USA over an alleged chipped beer bottle.

Claiming product liability and negligence, Scott Donahoe filed his suit on April 5 in Harris County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Dec. 5, 2021, Donahoe purchased a six pack of Miller Lite from HEB. Later that night, he twisted off a cap, proceeded to drink one and felt a sharp pain move down his throat and chest “as he swallowed sharp pieces of glass.”

After removing the lingering glass in his mouth, Donahoe inspected the bottle and discovered the inside lip was fractured and chipped.

He is represented by attorney Lester B. Nichols III.
