Genesis Bichon sues Harmony Education Foundation for invasion of privacy

Genesis Bichon has filed a lawsuit against Harmony Education Foundation, Upreach Learning, and Mike Kahraman in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The court case ID is 2024-23182 and was filed on April 11, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that she discovered an electronic recording device in the women's restroom at her workplace, which had been used to record her and other female employees without their consent.

Represented by Thomas A. Sage, the defendants are domestic nonprofit corporations authorized to operate in Texas. Mike Kahraman is an individual employed by both Harmony Education Foundation and Upreach Learning as the Executive Director. Genesis Bichon is a resident of Houston, Harris County, Texas.

The plaintiff contends that she discovered the recording device on April 11, 2022. She claims that numerous videos of her and other female employees were found on the device. It was later revealed that defendant Kahraman had placed the device in the restroom.

Bichon is seeking monetary relief over $1,000,000 including damages of any kind, penalties, costs, expenses, pre-judgment interest, and attorney’s fees for serious and permanent injuries suffered as a result of this invasion of privacy.
