The Gainsborough Corporation has filed a lawsuit against Gulf Winds International, Inc. and Serafin Antonio Aguila in the Harris County Civil Court at Law No. 2. The case, bearing the ID 1226318, was filed on April 16, 2024, and revolves around an automobile accident that occurred on August 25, 2023.

The plaintiff alleges that while operating a Hino Motors vehicle at the Port of Houston Authority terminal, their vehicle was hit by the defendant's tractor-trailer causing significant damage. Video evidence from the plaintiff’s dash camera is said to support these claims. The damages include damage to the front bumper and headlamp assembly of the plaintiff's vehicle.

The lawsuit accuses Aguila of negligence for failing to exercise ordinary care while operating his vehicle. Furthermore, it asserts that at the time of the incident, Aguila was acting within his employment with Gulf Winds International, invoking the doctrine of respondeat superior against the corporation.

Gainsborough seeks monetary relief of $250,000 or less and nonmonetary relief. They demand a jury trial and request a judgment against the defendants for a sum within the minimal jurisdictional limits of this court or any other sum deemed just and fair by the jury.
