Steven Clement has filed a lawsuit against Fernando De Leon and Purvis Industries, LLC in the District Court of Harris County, Texas under the case ID 2024-24007. The filing was made on April 15, 2024.

The plaintiff, Steven Clement, alleges that on an unspecified date in 2023, he was driving southbound on the 7400 block of North Houston Parkway when he was rear-ended by defendant Fernando De Leon who was acting within his employment scope at Purvis Industries. The incident resulted in serious injuries to Clement.

The damages sought by Clement exceed $1,000,000. The plaintiff accuses De Leon of negligence for failing to control his speed and striking his vehicle from behind. He also holds Purvis Industries vicariously liable for their employee's actions.

Clement is seeking judgment against both defendants for negligence and gross negligence. He argues that De Leon consciously disregarded safety by operating his vehicle unsafely and that this behavior constituted an extreme degree of risk. As such, he is seeking exemplary damages for the gross negligence demonstrated by De Leon.
