Belinda Taylor has filed a lawsuit against Family Dollar Stores of Texas, LLC in the County Civil Court at Law No. 2, Harris County, with the court case ID 1225079 on March 27, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that she was seriously injured due to a dangerous condition at one of the defendant's premises.

The plaintiff's lawyer details that on July 10, 2023, Taylor visited the defendant's store located at 5706 Lockwood, Houston, Texas for shopping. During her visit, she tripped on a rack protruding into an aisle and several other racks fell on her causing severe injuries. The defendant is accused of negligence in maintaining safe conditions within their store and failing to warn customers about potential hazards.

Taylor is seeking monetary relief of $250,000 or less including interest, statutory or punitive damages and penalties, attorney fees and costs. She argues that the defendant knew or should have known about the dangerous condition and failed to rectify it.
