Mayra Hernandez sues Jose Moreno Barajas for causing a car accident resulting in serious bodily injuries

On March 25, 2024, a lawsuit was filed in the Harris County Civil Court at Law No. 4 by plaintiffs Mayra Hernandez and Paul Hernandez Jr., against defendant Jose Moreno Barajas. The case ID is A861 and it revolves around a car accident allegedly caused by the defendant, resulting in serious bodily injuries to the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs' lawyer argues that on September 4, 2023, the plaintiffs were driving straight on Garth Road in Harris County when the defendant, driving directly behind them, collided into their vehicle without warning. As a result of this collision, both Mayra and Paul Hernandez suffered serious bodily injuries. The damages incurred include reasonable medical care expenses both past and future, physical pain and suffering both past and future, physical impairment both past and future, physical disfigurement both past and future, loss of earnings in the past.

The plaintiffs are seeking monetary relief over $250,000 along with non-monetary relief for damages of any kind, penalties, costs, expenses pre-judgment interest and attorney’s fees.
