Stephanie Grace has filed a lawsuit against United Airlines, Inc., United Airline Holdings, Inc., and CommuteAir, LLC d/b/a United Express in the District Court of Harris County, Texas. The case ID is 2024-18605 and was filed on March 22, 2024. The Plaintiff is represented by attorneys at the law firm of Katzman, Lampert & Stoll and Geoffrey N. Courtney, attorney at law.

Grace alleges that while traveling with CommutAir d/b/a United Express, operated by United Airlines, she suffered personal injuries and emotional distress. She claims that she experienced a hemorrhage in her left eye during a flight from Orange County to Houston on March 23, 2022.

According to the court filing, Grace had undergone eye surgery three days prior to the flight and was cleared to fly by her doctor. However, while onboard the aircraft, she noticed a change in her vision in her left eye and required medical intervention to prevent permanent damage.

Grace is seeking judgment against the defendants for their alleged negligence and failure to assist her when she alerted multiple employees about her situation. She claims that various employees both in the air and on the ground refused to help her.
