Melissa Turner has filed a lawsuit against Geico County Mutual Insurance Company in the Harris County Civil Court at Law No. 1, Texas. The court case ID is not provided and the date of filing is March 26, 2024. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant failed to honor an insurance claim following a motor vehicle accident.

Turner, represented by an unnamed attorney, claims that on May 21, 2023, she was involved in a car accident caused by Brandon Patton's negligence. As a result of the accident, Turner suffered bodily injuries and property damage. The defendant's registered agent, Shane Wheeler, can be served at 2280 Greenville Ave, Richardson, Texas.

Turner had an insurance policy with Geico that included coverage for underinsured/uninsured motorists. Despite notifying Geico of her intention to make a claim under these benefits in a letter dated July 13, 2023, Turner alleges that Geico failed to pay or conduct a prompt and reasonable investigation into her claim.

The plaintiff seeks judgment under Chapter 37 of the Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code for underinsured coverage and damages for violations of Texas Insurance Code §541.060 and the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. She also alleges breach of contract by Geico.
